What Previous campers thought

“My family and I have had numerous camping trips to Cornwall, all of which have been incredibly enjoyable, but Wylde Valley is without doubt the best camp site we’ve ever stayed at. The large electric plot we had was just that, large, more space than we could believe. The site facilities were also superb and the showers were without doubt the best we’d experienced on a camp site! I would have no reservation in recommending Wylde Valley Camping!”

— Ian, Cool Camping review

“Thanks for a wonderful camping trip! It was the friendliest, cleanest, nicest campsite we’ve ever been to and we are desperate to book again!”

— Tracey, direct feedback

“The most wonderful campsite. Huge pitches, the terrific shower and toilet block. Nice touches everywhere. We stayed in our camper-van and a little tent but would love to stay in one of their fancy bell tents some time in the future. If you are in the area it’s a must! Thank you!”

— Katie, Google review

“Lovely Campsite… amenities are easily the best I have come across... by some margin! 100% recommend. The team are relaxed, friendly and welcoming, yet run a well maintained and clean campsite.”

— Stuart, Hipcamp review

WHAT WE DO & why we are a ‘pop-up’ campsite

For the past 15 years, we have run large scale events, showcasing world renowned acts including Paloma Faith, Paul Weller, Rag’n’Bone Man, Fatboy Slim, and Chase and Status, to name a few - and an annual family friendly music festival (a local favourite, so we’ve been told) called Leopallooza! And so we have plenty of experience catering for thousands of campers a year.

In 2021 we began expanding and upgrading our camping areas to include stone tracks throughout the campsite, brand new flushing toilets, hot showers, wheelchair accessible toilets and showers and washing facilities. We also organised our camping areas into spacious designated pitches, and took our boutique bell tents to the next level, building each tent its own individual wooden deck, and furnishing to a higher standard than ever seen before at our events.

We loved having campers here so much in 2021, that this year we are back to do it all again!

Local Attractions

North Cornwall’s tourism industry has grown phenomenally over the last few years, and it’s easy to see why - places that used to be local secrets are now shared with the world, and wow are they worth a visit.

Here at Wylde Valley Camping, we are lucky enough to be situated in the centre of amazing attractions all over North Cornwall and Devon, and are just a short drive away from some of the UK’s most beautiful beaches, and some of the world’s most interesting geological features and historical settlements.

Are there any site rules?

  • No pets (including dogs) - unfortunately we cannot allow pets on site, we're sorry for any inconvenience this may cause.
  • We politely request that noise is kept to a minimum between 10 pm and 9 am.
  • Last check in time for camping pitches is 6pm. All vehicle movement on the campsite is prohibited after 9pm, if you arrive at the site after this time, then you will need to park your car in our separate (but still close!) parking area instead.
  • No large groups of adults / stag or hen weekend parties - we are a quiet, family and nature centred campsite.
  • Leave No Trace - We pride ourselves on being as eco-oriented as possible, with sustainabilty at the centre of the ways we operate and build as a campsite. We ask that our guests do the same, recycle wherever possible, and leave no litter behind. Our site is in a gorgeous rural setting, and litter is bad news for the wildlife that calls it home. Please dispose of glass safely.
